About Us

About Fourex Customs

We design and build custom products for golf and country clubs, resorts and individuals that want something better than catalogue merchandise. Our customers want everything to feel unmistakably their own.  Every hole-in-one box, game set, tee marker, trophy, and tournament gift that leaves our shop is designed in-house, customized on our CNC and laser equipment, and finished by craftsmen who care whether the grain lines up.

Our customers are golf and country clubs, tournament organizers, and the golfers who play at them. Whether you're outfitting a member-guest, replacing the tee markers on your signature hole, or looking for something on the pro shop wall that members will actually want to take home, you'll work with people who can sketch it, prototype it, and ship it — without sending the job out the door.  From one-off member gifts to large tournament runs and full-course projects, we build at a scale that works for private clubs.

From a Lathe in New Hampshire to Your Clubhouse

Fourex Customs started, improbably, with a baseball bat. In 1992 at Camp Pasquaney, a teenage Hunter Marckwald turned a raw block of ash on a lathe and walked off with both a bat and the kind of itch that takes a few decades to scratch. A law career came next — nearly two decades of it. Then, in 2017, a workshop in the garage. Bowls, boxes, furniture, custom electric guitars. The hobby quietly outgrew the hobbyist.

What began as a side business restoring doors, docks, decks, and outdoor furniture evolved when private clubs kept asking the same question: could you build us something custom? Fourex Customs was built around that answer.

Today, Hunter leads a team of designers, machine operators, and craftsmen dedicated to one thing — making the most distinctive wood products in the golf and country club industry.

Designed and Made In-House

Our in-house design studio works directly with clubs and tournament directors to develop pieces that fit a specific course, brand, or event — and our CNC and laser equipment lets us cut, engrave, and personalize at a level of detail that off-the-shelf vendors simply can't match. Logos, monograms, member names, hole numbers, course silhouettes, founding dates, donor lists — if it can be drawn, we can put it on wood.

That vertical integration is why we can prototype freely, turn around custom work fast, and say yes to ideas other shops won't touch.

What We Make

Retail merchandise. Pro-shop pieces members actually want to buy, take home, and keep — game sets, valet trays, ball markers, custom nicotine pouch cans, and one-off items you won't find in anyone else's catalog.

Tournament gifts and awards. Hole-in-one boxes, engraved trophies, plaques, and player gifts built for member-guests, invitationals, and championships. Personalized to the tournament, the date, the winner — at quantities and turnaround times that work for a real club calendar.

Custom on-course products. Tee markers, bag stands, cooler boxes, yardage signs, and anything else your course needs. Designed to your branding, sized to your holes, and built tough enough for daily exposure to the elements.

How We're Different

  • Design partnership, not catalog shopping. We start every project as collaborators, not order-takers. Your GM, head pro, or art director can talk to our designers — not a salesperson reading from a SKU list.
  • Speed. Because design, machining, and finishing all happen under one roof, we move faster than vendors who farm work out at every stage.
  • True one-off customization. Quantities of one are normal here. So is a different engraving on every piece in a tournament-gift run.
  • Products you won't find anywhere else. If you've seen it in every other clubhouse, we didn't make it.

Built to Last

We use premium hardwoods and proper joinery whenever the design allows. Hardware is marine-grade stainless steel, chosen specifically to fight the salt, sun, irrigation, and Florida weather that quickly wears down lesser products. The result is pieces that hold up to the conditions your club actually operates in — not just the photo on the website.

Let's Build Something

Whether you have a tournament eight weeks out, a clubhouse renovation, or a sketch on a cocktail napkin, we'd like to hear about it.
